That's not a begging doggie ^ - that's a sad doggie !!  Poor little thing.
It's a one big act, Daisy. Smile  "If I look sad enough then maybe I'll get a tasty extra tit-bit or two".  Cats and dogs are specialists at this!

Nah ...  Smile  Begging dogs are alert and full of anticipation, like the picture of this one, not sad like that poor little terrier.

Something went a bit wrong with your pic, Daisy. lol

Dogs will try the sit-up-and-beg technique first.  If that fails, they go for the second!

Well, the terrier pic reminds me of a dog who has been told off or who is in the process of being left behind ...

Told off maybe for scrounging for food.

Terriers are great, they have loads of character and a mind of their own.  I have cairns they are full of character and do as they want.  They are very loyal and loving. When you talk to them they cock their head and the ears go up. I have had terriers all my life best dogs ever.  I can understand why Andy loves Maggie
They are always the same and what a welcome you get when you get home (even if you have had a bad day)

My family had a Scotch Terrier which lived to a good age, and this was followed by a Cairn.  Both were wonderful, loving household pets.  Had to laugh at the latest pic of Maggie.  Knowing how strong-minded terriers are, I bet it's a constant battle of wills in the Murray household, and on this occasion Maggie lost out!  From the other photos and her tweets she's obviously a much-loved dog.
