He actually can't gain any points at Queen's, but it could useful for when his other points come off.

A few folk will need to be withdrawn from that list now, Nalbandian for definite, more than likely Gasquet, not sure about Monfils yet.

Particularly when the "nil points" in Indianapolis is dropped off in Juy!

20th July he will gain Queens points in place of Indianapolis.
then 10th Aug Washington 500 will replace Queens
then 26th Oct Queens will replace St. Petersburg.
unless that is he plays and scores more points in another 250 in which case queens will disappear of his points.

A wildcard is given to a player, by a tournament, when the player has not qualified through his or her ranking.
It is usually given to an un and coming player who is rising up the rankings, or someone who is coming back from injury.

Just to add to that, they tend to be given to player's from the country that the tournament is held in, a bit of a leg-up onto the tour for some younger players or just older players that they want to give a kickstart too. Andy certainly benefitted from a few of them after those initial Queen's and Wimbledon WCs!

I've never really understood the point system all that much (ranking not scoring, ive got that one down) so I'll just depend on you good people to keep me up to date on all that!

According to MTF, the main draw for Queens will take place on Saturday at 4p.m. Andy seeded second behind Rafa and will have a bye in Round 1 (similar to the Masters 1000 events). First match likely to be either next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Any idea where MTF get that kind of info from for tournaments? It always hacks me off that some tournament official sites don't give details of draw dates and times like that - Queen's is one of them!

I'm going to this on Thursday (3rd round day), got a centre court ticket!
I'm hoping that:
A) The weather is good
and
B) The top players all make it through their first matches. Muzz, Rafa, Roddick - could well be an awesome day!
Decent chance of Andy getting the title here I think, would be great to get a first tournament win that's not on hard!

Not sure Joe, but I agree with you. Most our the tournament sites are useless for putting up any information about timing of the draws.
