I personally don't agree with this. What about you?

Confirming the status of females as bimbos. I bet they wouldn't make the ball boys wear swimming costumes!

Rolling Eyes  They did it last year. I think Safin was amused.

I dont think it's anything other than a desire to "glam up" tennis. Us purists may shake our heads, and it turns me off completely. Ballgirl/boys are there to do a job, but since when have the ATP ever worked in the interests of tennis?

They are a business. Business has to make money. So we have sexism. PUKE! But I doubt our opinions will change anything.

why!! do they have to use models?! it's not like the women players will be chuffed and for the teenage male players it will just be a huge put off....the game will be slowed down when the ball girls bend! not liking it!  Frown

Andy Murray would undoubtedly have appreciated the models, but he was forced to turn down the offer of a wild card into the qualifying event for Madrid as he was already entered into next week's Challenger tournament in Denmark.

seems Andy's going to miss out on the ball girl's knicker-showing  Rolling Eyes

The mind doubts, but the heart never does.

Just as well.  Not the best scenario for a testosterone filled 18 year old male to cope with while trying ti keep his mind on playing tennis.

Seriously, I think this is just inane.  I'm not a stuffed shirt, but everything has it's place and this is most definitely not the place.

i#m all for the objectification of men however!!!

male model ball-boys!! HURRAH!.

this is a  jumping-w00t momement if ever there was one... Very Happy

admittedly, on principle i still think that its not the best idea the tennis world has ever had, seeing as the attention should be focussed on the tennis....not the ball boys and girls - and there are tennis mad kids who would kill to ballboy/girl an event like that....
