Thanks Allan. I was thinking of the context of this year. By the end of this year, all the points from last year would have fallen off so would not be counted.
Of course Andy has 2 "250" series (Marseille & Queens) coming to pick up points whereas Cilic has maxed out his "250" series points for 2010.

Thanks
Also, on my Andy Murray calendar (
) it says that Indian Wells runs for two weeks, with Miami, lasting a week and a half, straight after it... Is this right?

They both take two weeks, including qualifying, and with the seeds getting a R1 bye in both of them then Andy wont play until the first Friday or Saturday in both tourneys.

Ah right, so technically, in terms of main draw play, they're not really back to back are they? And how unbelievably annoyed/unlucky would you/it be if you have to qualify for Indian Wells, go on to win the title, but you are ranked so low that even with those points, you had to qualify for Miami.... Is that even possible?

He'd get a special exemption place in the main draw if he wasn't high enough ranked to get directly into Miami.

It's happened at other tournaments but I don't think it's happened at Indian Wells/Miami.
