Joker is just so efficient on this surface as witnessed by him hardly having a tough match yet. But he hardly hit any winners against Ferrer. And he has little variety to his game either. He just wallops the ball back deep into court although sometimes he makes some nice angles. His biggest asset is being made of rubber. He can stretch and bend at unnatural angles and always gets that ball back. I hope Andy does some serve and volley tactics to take Rubber Boy out his comfort zone. Throw in some slices and drop shots and who knows. Maybe he can do it.

Nobody knows what the outcome of this match up will be, the only thing that we can be certain of is that the Andy Murray that will stand at the other side of the net from Djokovic will be a very different one from the one that stood in the final of AO 2011. Andy is a much more complete player, in this tournament on so many occasions he has found a way to win, found his best tennis at key moments, when he has lost points he has not beat himself up just dusted himself down and got on with it.  His tennis ability was never in doubt, he needed a steeliness which he now appears to have.  He also has a master tactician guiding him and let's put this into perspective, Andy has been with Lendl for 9 months and already they have achieved so much and this bodes well for the future.

I don't think the additional days rest will come into play as we all know that Djokovic seems to posses superhuman forms of energy when they are most required, however, Andy is coming into this final in a much better position than any others he has been in - no scheduling headaches and no "home favourite" pressure.  I think the crowd will get behind him as they seem to have taken him onboard like one of their own.

All we can do is trust that Andy and his team will be mega prepared and we already know that Andy has said he will give everything in this final and whatever anyone thinks of Andy Murray he is most definitely a man of his word.

So I will be keeping everything crossed in the hope that this young man can finally achieve what he so rightfully deserves, he is a credit to his sport, his family and his country, too much emphasis is put on what Andy has not achieved maybe the media should concentrate on his massive achievements a like of which may well never be witnessed in British tennis, he is a uniquely talented young man.

Good luck Andy, will always support you through thick and thin, good times and bad (have a sneaky feeling there are going to be some hell of a good times coming soon).

I'm really pissed about at the amount of Nole tards and folk writing of Muzz.   already.  A ball hasn't been hit yet.

Let them write Andy off. They've done that at this year's Wimbledon, Olympics and now USO.

His results in GS is getting better and better, no one expected Andy to rebound so fast to beat Djokovic & Fed back to back to win the Olympics. He duly stuck the fingers up to his critics and not only that, he trounced Fed in straights.

Again no one thought he would negotiate Raonic in R4 as they thought his serve and power game was unbreakable - Andy came out firing from the get go leaving the Canadian utterly confused in defeat.

Berdych was going to be too powerful but Andy being the astute tactician that he is and with the increased mental fortitude that he now possess playing in the big matches, he got through a very tough SF hurdle.

I haven't seen Djoko's display today but many have already put his name on the USO trophy. All the above will serve nothing but fire up Andy even more.

I sure hope the Olympic Andy will make an appearance and shut all his doubters up once and for all.

Err I think you're getting a bit carried away here. No-one tipped Raonic to beat Andy.

There was quite a lot of press out there who thought Raonic was going to make a breakthrough at Andy's expense.

Include yourself as one of those who continue to write Andy off.

No on is getting carried away here.

We must not forget that Andy has played all of the big hitters in this tourny or at least thats what it feels like.Hes gonna be nervous if he gets anywhere near the winning line thats for sure and Novak will know that, but he's been handleing pressure moments really well.Like Ivan said you have to enjoy being nervous not fear it,your very lucky to be in that position in the first place.

Actually I predicted Andy would beat Raonic in straight sets. Anyway apologies. Robbie's next door neighbour predicted Raonic would win so you were quite right.

I actually don't think he will be that nervous if he gets close to the winning line. He didn't seem to when he stood up to serve for the Olympic Gold. I  hoping he will be in the same mind set - 1 point at a time.
