That comment confirms what most people on here know, you are no more a Murray supporter than Fed is. I imagine that you are a closet Fedite. Not surprisingly really that you chose to hide it. It's an embarrassing affliction to suffer from.

I've given up on predictions and gut feelings and such other crap with Andy in GS finals a very very long time ago. We'll know in the first few games what type of match it's going to be so will try not to over analyse and panic any more until then. I just hope it's tears of happiness and not sadness, the "I'm getting closer" speech was by far the most painful so far.

I assume your ICT teacher has just taught you how to do animations. It's a shame that you seem not to have learnt that animations involving hammering people on the head are somewhat inappropriate. Your comment re Murray was simply nasty, (like so many you have made), and unnecessary. Run away to a Fed forum, there's a good lad.

Hi All,

I'm sticking with my pick from a year ago, Andy. He has belief in himself now, I think he knows where he fits in the game. I think he has realised that he is as good as the 'top three'.

I think Andy has variety and imagination that Djokovic doesn't have. I feel that in the past doubt in his abilities and frustration with errors has stopped him using his brilliant tennis mind to effect when he has needed it most, but that isn't the case now. Now Andy holds himself together so well when under pressure. He did at Wimbledon, he did it at the Olympics. He can do it at Flushing Meadows.

Andy has a master tactician who believes in him in his corner now. Lendl will have looked at Djokovic's game and found areas where he can be beaten, and he is beatable.

Andy moves every bit as well as Djokovic on a hard court, and for me, returns even better. Djokovic is probably the original plastic man, but Andy will know how to move him around in a way that he can't bring that in to play all the time.

In my opinion it will be Andy in four or five. I won't even think about him losing until it happens, but my gut is telling me this is Andy's time.

Pathetic BN, and uncalled for. Very provocative.

Once again, Andy's up against a player who's got his number - 6-8 Nole. The other two were Raonic and Berdych.

Anyway, on hard, it's 6-5 Nole. This year, on hard they are 1 all and 2 all in total. While Nole has the AO, Andy has the Olympics.

At this year's Open Andy definitely had the tougher rounds than Nole. Let's take a look:

Andy had Bogomolov Jr. (73), Dodig (118), Lopez (31), Raonic, (16) Cilic (13) and finally, Berdych (7) and now he will face No. 2 player in the world.

Nole had Lorenzi (69), Dutra Silva (112), Benneteau (35), Wawrinka (19 - retired in the 3rd set), Del Potro (8), Ferrer (5) and now he'll face Murray (4) in the final.

In short, Andy had two of the most dangerous players on tour in his half who could give him all sorts of trouble- Raonic and Berdych and now, he's facing the player to beat in the final. It's not the same with Nole as he's facing a player ranked lower than him and who has yet to win a Slam. Also, we really don't know if Nole would have survived at all had he faced with either Raonic or Berdych or both. Federer's qtr had only one player who could give him trouble and look what happened to him. So while Nole has only dropped a set so far, it's also true that he had easier times in each round as he never had to face anyone who could give him all sorts ofl trouble. People will probably point DP but Nole and every top player has commendable lead over him.

So Andy definitely has a tougher task tomorrow than Nole. And also, he's still looking for his first Slam whereas Nole already has 5 of them. The only weakness anyone has going into this match is Andy's mental stability. This is still an unknown factor but at least now we have glimpses of it - thanks to Wimbledon final. Personally, I feel he'll be pumped up; he'll be in the zone and the sooner he gets handle of his nerves the better. He'll also remember his beloved coach Lendl was exactly in this position 28 years ago, where he had to lose the first two sets only to come back in the next three to win his first Slam - the 1984 FO.  John McEnroe was the top seed and Lendl was ranked 2 but by that time, McEnroe already had 5 Slams in his bag just like Nole while Lendl had none. Will history repeat here once again? Who knows but why not?

I hear Lendl has already told Andy to have fun in the final; this means he's making sure Andy doesn't feel any pressure and telling him to enjoy the final rather than making it a life and death situation. I think it's a very smart and intelligent move. It's good to have wise people around, isn't it?

Anyway, of course Nole is a very, very tough opponent and this surface suits him the best but Andy's got so much variety, and he's equally tough on this surface. And he's loving the attention lately so much, enjoying the crowd who I believe will be behind him, so I have a very good feeling about this match and this is his favourite tournament. Here he made his first final and perhaps here he's going to make his last. And so I give this match 60-40% Andy. Amen.

Del Potro was the most dangerous player in the draw outside the top three, I think Djokovic has had an equally tough route through.

Djokovic's current streak on hardcourts is so impressive, it's his strongest surface, so I think this could be a five setter.

I hope Murray comes racing out of the blocks tomorrow and overwhelms him.

Del Potro quite frankly is slightly overrated.
