As much as i'd love to see Andy in Basel. Its either Basel or Bercy realistically and Bercy has the most points so i'd go for that.
I don't think playing 2 weeks back-back would be the best prep for WTF at the end of a long season, but Andy knows best.
What's Bercy? As in, Barcelona?

Bercy is just the area of Paris - south east of city centre

Ah right, I thought there was a tournament in Barcelona that wasn't appearing on Andy's or the ATP website!

If Andy withdraws from basel, inwardly federerererer will be ecstatic, outwardly he will see it as an opportunity to have a sly dig at him via the press and as much as I would like Andy to go to switzerland and beat him in his own backyard, I would rather him cancel and let Fed sound off and prove us all right. But knowing Andy, I think he will compete.
One other thing, I think Andy's mindset will now be to push through these last three tourneys and put it all on the line to try and finish his wonderful Year off in style and let's face it, winning the last wtf that gets played in London in front of a newly converted post Olympic and grand slam win crowd would be the most fitting and perfect end.

Yes there is and I wouldn't be surprised to see London awarded it for another 5 years - it's been such as success

Would also like to add the confirmation of the qualification of Marray and Nielsen. I believe they received a wildcard into the event.

Was told they hope to keep wtf here longer but depends on tax situation. Also heard they're thinking of moving paris to feb. Hope whaatever andy decides is aimed at maximising chances at wtf. Would be fab way of ending fab year if he won.

Moving Paris sounds a good idea, but some 500 events would have to be rescheduled e.g. Rotterdam, Dubai. Having a longer close season is clearly right but achieving this by having Paris and WTF back-to-back is just bonkers. What happens if its a Murray-Djoker Paris final on Sunday 4th? Does 1 or both of them have to play their 1st WTF the next day in London, maybe even play each other! Suppose they can mess around with the WTF schedule to adjust for this.

I wonder if they will have the Paris final on Saturday.
