They've stopped them in Wales I think, although i had to do them in years 6 and 9 (my teachers went on strike when i was meant to have them in year 2 - go teachers!!)

I also had end of year exams in years 7, 8, 9, 10 in every subject, as well as mock gcses and mock a levels.... fun fun

Yeah, I had xmas and summer xams @ my primary (v  mean) in almost everythin - (eg: french, latin, science, culture (classiv), english, maths, most of them were on a general paper though) - even when we learnt the cancan we had a test, I lost marks cos I cudn't do the splits  :P how unfair!!!!
Yeah, now in secondary skl I hav summer xams and will hav mocks etc soon. AH!!!!!!

I no, I was lucky cos I did okish, but the ppl who didn't understand or who didn't revise had every1 look at their results. Also when we did the 11+ we had like a gettin in 2 our skls party @ a pool, and 1 girl didn't get in anywhere and the skl made it so obvious. It wasn't  like she hadn't tried and she was on the waiting lists, she got in in the end. My old skl was sooo strict!
