Sorry but as a tennis fan if i'm sat watching a tennis match and some commentator comes out with something akin to "If Andy Murray only smiled a bit more he'd have won many more slams by now" i'll take offence and turn the smegger off.

Comms should commentate on the match and nothing else, not give personal insight into why a player is not a multi slam winner (which is nothing more than a personal opinion and may not be shared by others) or even worse the Andre Castle style commentator who spends half the time discussing the colour of peoples umbrellas.

I don't have issues with comms being critical of any player including Andy as they are usually correct, i like to hear tactics being dissected or giving reasons why a player is not playing so well, not "Andy's body language is so depressing, he could have won 25 slams by now if he only cheered up"
Good posting!
A 1000 thank-yous. I was sick to the stomach of those guys talking  poo about Andy and his team. They are speculating as to what Andy and his team are "hoping"..in other words that they are wishing Dimi and Gulibis wear each other out so Andy can win the 1st set.
They were positively insulting.

Cannot see what all the fuss is over what the commentators say. When a player gets his tactics wrong, or is just not good enough, it is obvious to most of us as we have watched tennis for a long time? All commentators come up with crass statements and errors of fact. I laugh at them as part of the entertainment.

Last week those revered commentators told us that Stan W had not played since the Aussie Open. Strange that as their colleague had told us a hour earlier that Federer had teamed up with him to play Davis Cup for Switzerland and they could win it this year.

Try to laugh at what you disagree with tonight?

Not his analysis, which is always very good. It's his commentary that isn't so hot.

Jason Goodall is a frickin' legend. LEGEND.

Just watched this. ROFL. Unreal. Another ridiculous match by Andy. Absolutely hopeless in the 1st set. Break down in the 2nd. Then turns it round in true Andy style, winning at a canter. Pure entertainment.  Cant wait for the next instalment.
