Could be that him and his team have discussed the liklihood of not getting back to top level this year. Being competitive as he is, Andy will still find this tough to get through, but the main thing is to try and keep belief that it will come.

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Super post MM. I've supported Andy right from the moment he was a junior US champ and watched him grown from possible raw talent to multiple slam winner and Olympic Gold medalist. My support of Andy will continue even after he has hung up his racquet for good.

Like a quote in the film Vanilla Sky: 'without the sour the sweet ain't as sweet'. Andy will come good again, despite going through tough times.

The naysayers and sceptics on MW should just switch allegiance and become a Federer 'supporter'. I'd wager most of these impostors probably are not real tennis fans anyway. Fakery at its best like like RF himself.

Don't expect much this year as I'm tired of getting my hopes up for him only for him to fall short... BUT................. he will be back in 2015!

Not a crime to be positive either.

Maybe we should revive the tennis 101 thread. All the arrogant/boring/cheating players could go in there, along with many commentators and most MW members. Andy would always qualify for WTF as there would only be about 8 players left, and MW would no longer be spoilt by annoying posters.

Adding a sarcasm alert. just in case...

The difference is, nobody tells you to stop being positive, they don't criticise you for it, and they don't keep whining about it on every thread.

And before you say "well why would they" i personally don't like going onto a thread and seeing "ah well onwards and upwards, at least he has a nice bum!!" but i don't make a habit of pointing that out.

As far as i'm concerned, this is a community where everyone is different, but that seems to upset some people here who seem blissfully unaware that those who continue to blather on about "annoying posters" are themselves becoming just as annoying by constantly referring to it.

Someone other than myself has finally identified just what is ruining this forum. Thank you Gnome. Thank you so much.

For all the overly negative criticism on here there is an equal amount of excessive self righteous postings. Its just a message board folks ... a place where opinions can be placed on Andy. If you don't agree ...fine...if you do agree.. fine... don't read em if they upset you on a constant basis. Its really not that hard.

If stuff written on an I'net forum upsets you ....you should really look at getting out more anyway.

I have other sports I follow such as soccer, american football and rugby...in addition to following Andy at tennis. All my teams that I support have long periods without any success whatsoever ...and also periods where they are successful or achieve something. I will always follow them tho regardless.....same with Andy. I also have opinions on them all... and a forum is one of the correct places to place them.

Andy is for sure having issues with his performance levels. He may solve those issues ...he may not. Time will tell I guess. Hope he does ...and he achieves much more in the game ...his ability is not in question. Would be a shame if something else restricted his achievements in the game.
