AO rematch, lol.
Bet Haase is thrilled about that, lol.

Possible Mone Carlo QF line up,Djokovic v Del Potro,Gasquet v Berdych,Nadal v Tipsarevic and Murray v Tsonga

Pleased Andy's avoided Del Potro and Berdych in the quarters.

Sod's law he'd be in Rafa's half but I agree good to avoid delpo and birdy in quarters.  Do we know if any serious threats in the path to Rafa?

I forgot about Berd being the 4th seed so Andy couldn't have faced him in the quarters anyway - he and Gasquet aren't going to be too happy about facing each other in the 3rd consecutive Masters tournament though!

I'm not surprised about Andy and Rafa facing each other in the semis - although it's supposed to be random, I bet the organisers want a Rafa/Novak final.

I don't know anything else about Rafa's draw apart from that he might face Verdasco in his first match (if he gets past Matosevic). Though given Verdasco's terrible form at the moment, I doubt whether he'll threaten Rafa much!

Thing about Verdasco is when you underestimate him he comes out firing. Madrid last year for example, he knocked Nadal out. I doubt a repeat will occur.

I'd like to see a Monfils matchup or a Stan one.

Yeah he's capable of the odd good performance, though in that tournament Rafa wasn't fully engaged because of the blue clay.

Tough R3 if he gets either Wawrinka or Monfils - both are good on clay.

Stan on clay is tough I think?  I seem to remember Stan beat smugfed on clay - one of the very rare times he has.
Draw could be a lot worse though.  I too had forgotten that birdy was 4th seed and in some ways I'd prefer he meets Rafa to birdy in SF, if he gets that far.

May I ask what section Gulbis is in. He is a toughie on clay and is on some form.

Yup and Andy is 0-2 on this surface vs Stan.

Gulbis is in Djokovic's section.

Nole's.  On balance I'd say Nole's half of the draw is tougher than Andy's prior to the SF.
Had conveniently forgotten that Andy's H2H against Stan is so poor on clay SL- oh well a first time for everything

Expect Nole to get a real scare, if Gulbis plays anything like he did back in 2010 on clay Nole could see the door pretty quickly.

Gulbis is an overrated piece of ****. Isner will deal with him in the first round.
