Gulbis is an overrated piece of ****. Isner will deal with him in the first round.

Because Isner is in such terrific form right now?

He needs to make the semis actually, because he isn't playing Barcelona.

In Davis Cup, when Fed looked like he was more concerned about other things than the match.

Besides Gulbis will probably beat Monaco as well. Monaco is playing like a smurf on ice at the moment.

Isn't the clay in Houston a lot faster than in Monte Carlo? Could be a difference.

I stand corrected! Am I right in thinking Ivan's not at MC this year??

It looks a bit of an up and down draw for Andy for MC. I think that's all right to be honest. It should keep him on his toes.

I had a feeling he would be in Rafa's half, or rather, that Rafa would be in his. It was pretty obvious I think. If they both get that far it might be good to see them play each other again. I'd prefer a match up on hard to be honest, but I don't suppose they'd change MC just for me lol.

In a way I'm looking forward to the clay season this year. Andy is having a good run this year, even if he hasn't played too much yet. His win/loss ratio is pretty fine. That suggests, at least to me, that he is achieving the consistency he said a while back he is aiming for. Last year the clay season was a bit of a nightmare, sure, although I still don't think the quarters at RG is bad, especially given that he looked out for the count in the second round, but I think the back problem was a big issue then. This year Andy looks fit, so we'll see what happens.

Expect Nole to get a real scare, if Gulbis plays anything like he did back in 2010 on clay Nole could see the door pretty quickly.
For a variety of reasons I don't see Nole busting a gut to do well here.
