Berdych is in terrible form.
Really?  Maybe not on clay so far, but he did get to the QF of the AO, the finals of Marseille and Dubai, SF in Indian Wells and QF in Miami.  I don't call that poor form.  Also he and Andy have met twice on clay (RG 2010 and MC 2012), with Berdych winning both times.

Yes Andy and Berdych have to get to each other first. So worry about if it happens.  Whistle

I agree, but speculation is inevitable when a draw comes out.

Madrid Andy has nothing to lose. So he might go all out here.

Seems like a good draw for Andy. Most of the players in that qtr are more or less off form. I won't be too surprised if Andy makes the semi here.

Think some folk enjoy the speculation more than the actual event  :p

Berdych won't beat Janowicz.

That's a very definite statement PE, given Janowicz's record on clay so far on the Tour.

He won clay challengers last year and is actually not bad on the surface. I think he had an illness in the past few weeks, that has affected his play. I feel he should have rested, but for some reason he played. Hopefully he is at full fitness for Madrid as I would like to see him and Andy face each other again.

I didn't realise he'd been ill, although I did know that a few years back he reached the final of the boy's singles at RG.  Anyway if you believe TMH Andy won't get past R2!

And MH was wrong on many accounts as far as Andy is concerned.

I don't pay attention to other people's predictions anyway because Andy is so unpredictable.

Andy is only unpredictable when it comes to certain Masters but otherwise he's pretty predictable in Slams, certain tournaments like Brisbane, Queens, Toronto etc. and the Asian swing.
