but angie isn't his handshake, eye contact, few words and inscription worth the extra £11 (and the 4 hour wait!!)  Whistle

Absolutely agree with this Ruthie.

I have to confess that I'm keeping my £20 signed copy completely pristine, so it's wrapped in clingfilm for posterity, apart from occasional glimpses to celebrate Andy's next Grand Slam wins!  (pristine, that is, apart from a slight ink smudge caused by our hero himself just to the right of his signature - he must have had a touch of the felt-pen ink on his hand!)

I bought a £9 copy from Amazon to read!

Sad, aren't I?

well it's good to know that there's someone even madder than I am mp as I still can't get over the fact I stood for 4 hours on the pavement, some of it in pouring rain.  Whistle

I see Andy's book has entered the Times hardback non-fiction list this week at No. 6 - highest placed new entry apart from Nigel Slater. Interested to see where it will be next week.

That's good to know, thanks Fiverings.

I'm never quite sure how the book chart works, as most shops tend to do their own (often influenced by publishers paying for high profile spots), but I know the Times list sticks to actual sales. Smile

I'd guessed it must be doing fairly well as there weren't any in my local Sainsburys, nor were there any copies left at the WH Smiths at the train station.  Meanwhile, there were huge displays filled with the David Beckham book.  Whistle

More promotion for the book on this morning's Andrew Marr show, complete with a few good clips from the final, and more.  It's on the iPlayer at about 25 minutes in, but if I've done it right, this link should take you straight to the relevant bit. lol

I caught the Marr interview this morning by pure chance. What strikes me is how confident and talented Andy now is with dealing with the media. He even diplomatically fielded a question about Scottish independence. He should continue to do so - he just cannot win if he gets embroiled in this debate.

How is Andrew Marr doing?

I know that he'd suffered a stroke.

Afraid the media are already onto him: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/bonus-kevin-maguire-opinion-true-2803526
