Andy's hair
« on: April 18, 2012, 11:41 PM »
If Rafa's knee can have a twitter account and a full-page Bodo article, then surely Andy's hair deserves the same respect.
So where are you on this?
Are you For or Against Andy's new hair-style?....and your reasons.
Andy said he just decided to do it, and wasn't sure how it would turn out. Do you think this was a random or strategic decision?
And to make if more interesting, are you Male or Female?

Andy hair has always gave me the excuse that if a multi millionaire can't be bothered with his hair why should I.
I like the just got out of bed look

Preferred it a bit longer, but not like it was this time last year. However I'm starting to quite like this new look.

It's growing on me now too - Andy's got good bone structure which suits this type of style. Definitely makes him look like he means business this week!
My favourite style is when he has curls but it's not totally wild either.

This is the link that Nigel posted on another thread. Too many of Andy in a hat so you can't really see the hair style but classics in here

I never like my own hair when it's first been cut. I think it was just a bit of a shock with the shortness of it but its not the style of his hair that's going to win him tournaments. Besides, it will grow back.
The Waikato Super Rugby team all shaved their hair off recently - did it for charity - but that was a bit of a shock seeing all them running on to the pitch with their cropped locks. All for a good cause though.

I have to confess to loving his hair best when it is in an extreme state - as either a mad mass of curls or the muzz cut like now. I think they both make him look more individual and 'unstructured'.
Guess I might be in a minority though!

I'm against on grounds that it makes him look like a member of the US army or a right-wing bovver boy. Also he has lovely curly hair and it's such a shame to shave it all off. That said he doesn't look as awful as I feared he would.

I think he should try and be more lean and mean on the inside than outside!

I'm prepared to believe what his Mum said - that he just didn't bother to check the settings on the razor and that once started he had no option other than to finish the job.
However I hope he doesn't decide he likes it and keeps it that way. As Ruthie says it's like a US army haircut, or worse, a bovver boy - and those of us old enough to remember know what they were like!
I don't like his hair long and unruly but neatly trimmed curliness suits his personality as well as softening his features - in a masculine way. The present cut just makes him look "hard", and that isn't the Andy we know and love.

I agree Aileen! The neat, but still curly cut really suits his face the best! The 'wild man' look was ok as a teenager, but not now!

Like this article;

It looks like a wish (and plan) of change. And also; matches like the AO for 5 hours; every detail counts. Less hair is less warm, so may be it's strategic choice!

If this article were true, which I don't believe, then I'm afraid it's a very half hearted attempt on Andy's part, as we've yet to see him play without a baseball cap on since he cut it!

Thought that was why he had it so short as he knew he would be wearing a cap to shade his eyes from the sun, and when removing the cap at the end of a match his hair would not be all matted to his head and looking a real mess.
