Yep! Had me puzzled too Aileen! I thought it was one of the Muppets or the Sesame street gang. BigTennisBird maybe, or perhaps MissTennisPiggy?   confused

Beautiful pic.  Wish I was there. <sigh>

I had a feeling when Andy confirmed last month that he still intended to play there that it was a declaration that this would be a goal to aim for to keep him going during his lengthy rehab process.  How he will fare against the other players though I wouldn't like to speculate - and I have absolutely no idea how this exho is going to be played, although I assume that they all play each other and then go on to a SF and final, sort of WTF style - but I'm sure that, win or lose, he will be relaxed and just enjoy being back on court again.

I know this is shown on the main web page as being Andy's next event, along with a link to the relevant website, but here it is again so you can see what it's all about - http://www.thedreamcup.com/

I hope I can catch some of it.  It feels like forever since he played.  I need some Muzza action!
Looks like the perfect location for a tennis exo. Smile I wonder if ESPN uk will show this? I get that with my BT Sport subscription I think.
I don't know how much of Andy we'll see on court since according to the website it seems that the four players will only play a 'semi-final' best of three on Friday 29 November (the draw taking place on Thursday) with the 'final' on Saturday.  No doubt though they'll all be around for most of the event, which seems to be a general tournament along with other activities, and which sounds like it could be a lot of fun, probably letting kids hit with them, etc, which Andy will love, although of course we won't see that but hopefully we'll get some pics.

I've requested that updates be sent to my email address, so should be able to keep you better informed nearer the time, particularly the TV schedule since the Cup will definitely "be broadcast LIVE across ESPN’s extensive international networks including coverage on all other platforms such as Web, Radio and Print."

The flight from Miami to Barbados is approx. 3 hrs and 45 mins, but as Barbados is GMT -4 and Miami -5 there won't be any jetlag problems, and also I doubt Andy will be squashed into economy class!

It certainly will be dex, and at least Delpo knows what it's like to have to endure a lengthy period of rehab having had to it himself after injuring his wrist.   I understand too from an article I read the other day that Andy is also planning to keep up his pilates and gym work while he's in Barbados as well as taking time to enjoy the local sights, having fallen in love with the Bahamas when he and Kim were there on holiday, so it definitely looks like he'll be spending a few days there.

Andy Murray's plans to return to public tennis action at next week's Dream Cup in Barbados scuppered as event has been cancelled.

Not connected to any injury setback for Murray, was ready to play but local promoters hit problems and other players withdrew.

It's a shame the event's been cancelled. Frown

Dream Cup turns into Nightmare Cup. Rolling Eyes  Very disappointing, but this doesn't surprise me.  It had a rather iffy feel about it from the start because I felt the organisers were being a little over-ambitious.  I feel really sorry for Andy because he was looking forward to it so much and it would have helped with his rehab. Frown  Also it would have been nice for us to see him back on court again after such a long time.

Thanks Angie - even if in my haste I initially misread the link as saying 'Andy Murray injury delayed Dream Cup'. Rolling Eyes doh  I'm glad that he's apparently not too unhappy about it and that everything seems to be going well.
