It'll be on Wednesday Ruthie - Querrey & Melzer play each other tomorrow. That's if Andy actually plays - just read this tweet:  @RD_Tennistalk: Murray practicing with Ferrer. Knee DOES NOT look good.

Really hope Andy's knee injury isn't serious - would be awful for him to be hampered by injury now when he's playing so well.

Yeah I think he will if his knee is still bothering him - no point in risking it getting worse by playing this event.

It gives me goosebumps to hear about any injury, especially something that hasn't been an issue before. We all know about his bipartite patella problem, but it's his other knee that's bothering him.

Whatever is going on, trust Andy and his team will make the right decision. USO is paramount.

Dont think hewould be practising so much if he didnt intend to play.  He will do what is best, he is focused on UsO.  Lets stop listening to press and wait till we hear something from the horses mouth.

Most recent tweet 10 mins ago says he is still playing real points against Ferrer, and knee loosening up. There is still hope.

Yep. No point fretting over twitter rumours, nothing off there can be taken as gospel. We all know that the media love to exaggerate.

I like these kind of pics.  Andy has always cared about his fans.

I can see him withdrawing tbh.
Given that Andy's frequently been seen practising with Lendl, who I don't think has a softly softly approach, he'd have to come up with a pretty good reason for doing so; and if he can serve well, run around the court and do tweeners, then that would suggest there's nothing seriously wrong with his knee.  Remember it was the media who called it an injury, not Andy, whose perfectly understandable explanation was that the problem was due to suddenly having to play on a harder surface without his joints having had time to adapt to that surface.  It was though a wise decision to withdraw from Toronto.  Knee or not, he simply wasn't in a fit condition to carry on competing.

Thanks Katie.  Don't like the sound of that tweet but from later posts it sounds like perhaps it was just needing to loosen up.  Fingers crossed.
