I  sometimes read  Andy's TL .   ie  his mentions.  I read it today.  The amount of love for Andy is incredible  lol. So many lovely tweets  Very Happy

re  Aileen the abusive tweets.  Lots more people on twitter get much much much more abuse  than Andy.  I can think of so many people.

twitter is nice sometimes, but If you spend too long on it.  its a waste of your time tbh.

One girl I saw on twitter has tweeted over 190,000 times.  That's quite sad really.
Andy may get a lot of love now, but apparently that wasn't always the case.  I think McEnroe spoke to Andy after he saw what he was receiving and told him that all those negative tweets were doing him no good psychologically.  Also I think Andy was a bit of a compulsive tweeter himself.  There used to be column on this forum devoted entirely to them and they were pretty boring, especially as a lot of them were about his fantasy football picks or the forfeits' games he and his team used to play.

I don't use Twitter although I do look at it occasionally because, like Facebook, I don't feel the need, nor do I trust either of them.  Too many nutters out there - not that I think I would be of interest to anyone, but you never know.

Thanks Linda. Interesting that Andy briefly touched his left knee after his last serve on your video.
And thanks from me too Linda.

That practice session was two days ago so I'm not reading anything into that gesture.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

I thought the knee touching was more like a reflex action, which we know Andy tends to make when there has been any sort of niggle or injury, rather than it looking like it was hurting.  I noticed there is no taping on the knee, which perhaps suggests ok?

I think that's very sad that Andy should receive so many negative tweets.  I wonder if that's why he stopped using twitter suddenly a while ago ie after Johnny Mac said that to him.   I hope that Henry's Hug is symbolic of a shift in mood towards Andy [see post on Andy at Olympics of  Guardian piece] and that Andy will remember that moment whenever some malevolent idiot sends him a nasty tweet or whatever.

Just checked the OOP and no Andy today. Some potentially good matchs though, Gillies Simon vs Marcos Baghdatis and a Brit in the dubs, Jonathan Marray/Fredrik Nielsen vs L Kubot/J Tipsarevic.

Good luck Jonathan and Freddy!

Well, funny you should mention that, as a matter of fact it is  first  kicking

How's things in NZ Bev? Nice to see that NZ girl was awarded the Gold medal in shot-put after that cheat was stripped of the medal.

Catch you later at the next Muzz cross-roads.

Hi Linda wave

I thought it was those dashing doubles champions, well good luck to them! cmon yeah

We are good - trying to stock up on sleep and energy for the next rollercoaster ride through America! Very Happy

Nice for Valerie in the end - work colleagues pretty happy at the news.  Suggestion going around Facebook that they present her medal at Twickenham, when the AB's face England - she'd be surrounded by people that will be more than happy to share her moment and sing the national anthem proudly and loudly - I think that it's a given, imo.
