Andy at Indian Wells 2010
« on: March 09, 2010, 05:33 PM »
The first masters tourney of the year.
Andy's defending a final here, but since it was Nadal he lost to last year, he's got a very good chance of making it back to 3 in the world for at least a couple of weeks.
It appears Nadal is playing here, but Del Potro is out, as well as Gonzalez, Hewitt and a couple of others. All the other top players should be here.
Draw is being made tonight at 9pm UK time.
Andy will receive a bye in the first round. The second round is being played on Saturday and Sunday. California is 8 hours behind the UK, so get ready for late night matches again.

Because an early round exit might beckon depending on how you view the Dubai fiasco.

Draw is being made tonight at 9pm UK time.
It says on the
Indian Wells web site
that the ATP singles draw will be displayed on 11 March. Perhaps it was the WTA draw that was made today.

Can't be the 11th - that's when they start playing...

Saturday!? I have to wait till saturday to see andy in action again? I've been having withdrawal symptons... this is not good.
Slightly concerned at the final to defend, if he loses early hes not going to be strong in the rankings for those grand slams...

Rafa has a win to defend, though, and Del Potro is out of the tournament. Mostly good news for Andy.

I agree, I've forgotten what it looks like when he punches his raquet or swears or something!
And I predict either a big rise or a big fall in the rankings... Ideally he'd fall a bit lower, maybe to 5 or 6, win a major, and them pop back up, knocking Fed off the top spot.
