Radio 5 might do 15 min reports if a bbc man is covering Japan. Noone seems v interested in this tournament which gives Andy an opportunity to cover his points without having to endure the full glare of publicity.

It's a shame that it looks like there'll be no livestreams for tomorrow.  There's lots of streams for Beijing - even a really high quality free one on the tournament website. |

bbc are saying on their red button service that Andy has a bye into the second round and will play Lacko. Apt are still saying that Andy will play Montfis in the first round. Many people on this site have said he's to play Karlovic in the first round in place of Montfils who has withdrawn. Who has got it correct?

I think that when the TV arrangements were made noone expected Andy to win the US open and so they chose the tournament in which Djokovic was due to play It's understandable when you think about it. |

I think Karlovic is most likely to be the correct one. He lost in qualifying so has got into the main draw in Monfil's place as a lucky loser. I think tournaments usually do this when they're given enough notice of a first match withdrawal rather than giving a walkover to the second round. I seem to remember Tokyo not having tv coverage in the early rounds last year either. Wish Andy was playing in Beijing so we could see him. |

I'm reading a lot of mixed information. But to be on the safe side I'll just wake up tomorrow presuming that he is actually playing. Of course even when I get up there's the strong possibility I'm not going to be able to find a stream :/
