Just to clarify, is Andy's first match against Karlovic or not????
Right now about half of the sources are saying he is and half are saying he's not. So who knows You don't know which sources are ultimately reliable.

The BBC are saying he has a bye for the first round and will play Lacko on Wed. That is also on the ATP app I have got.

Karlovic fan Facebook account posted 30 minutes ago: Ivo Karlovic replaces Gael Monfils in Tokyo to play against Andy Murray in first round. It's the first lucky loser of Ivo since 2007.It isn't official but on twitter they say that it's at 100%.Murray and Karlovic will play tomorrow at 8.00 AM on Centre Court.
lol like I said, sources seem to be completely split on this. Only ones I will trust at this point would be Andy's official Facebook or Judy's twitter.

The BBC are saying it's Lacko, and the match is on Wednesday. Andy receiving a walkover because Monfils pulled out makes more sense than him playing a lucky loser to me.

I've been checking ATP and event sites but its radio silence out there, and both options could be argued for. It's the first round and Andy's the biggest draw. In the organisers' shoes, I'd definitely stick in a lucky loser.

That's weird. I've just looked at the official site and there is no news whatsoever about the match. I've refreshed it, and still nothing. They still have Murray/Monfils on the schedule too. I wonder if the fact that Lacko is already through makes any difference. Wouldn't make more sense to get your defending Champion, who also happens to be Olympic and US Open Champion, and the highest ranked player in the tournament, in to the second round now?

Typical French, surrendering when they come up against the best .... I couldn't possibly comment, but my late father would have entirely agreed.

Typical French, surrendering when they come up against the best .... Quel dommage - I see you're of the cheese-eating surrender-monkey persuasion. Just don't let Tsonga hear you!!
