This is an interview with Andy and Jamie. Had to laugh at the answer about dogs being lower maintenance than children:

You might get home in time, Jan. Safe return and hope you had a great time.
I'm home now and Yes we had another super holiday. Our first with Titan was the Canadian Rockies and that too was wonderful. Super country Canada. Still jet lagged but will be able to watch Andy play Stan on Friday.

Am I the only one who thinks the scheduling for this tournament is silly. Andy has a rest day tomorrow, but the Final of the tournament is on Sunday, so that would mean he could (and probably will), be playing Friday, Sat and Sunday for the final. Not only that, but he also has doubles with Jamie, which no doubt will mean he's playing everyday from now on in...... Surely it would make more sense to have the quarters tomorrow, semis friday, and then a rest day on saturday before the final, for both players?

Rest days only really apply in GSs when they're playing 5-setters prodigyeng.

I know but scheduling wise I just think it would make more sense if he had a day off on Saturday. Then again on the flip side, he's obviously a big draw over there and saturday matches will draw more money.

and they'll all be in the same situation as the others catch up tomorrow and then play each day after that. In some ways it's good for Andy that he got his 2nd round match out of the way today and has tomorrow for dubs, which can serve as practice for next day's singles.
But you're right in that tournaments aren't usually scheduled for the convenience of the players - the tv companies rule ok
