Let's also remember,Lendl might not have wanted to work with the Andy of a few years ago.I remember reading an interview saying that before he agreed to work with Andy,he was approached by close to ten players asking him to come back to the game and coach them.He said no to every one of them.
The Andy that he agreed to work with has been formed by a lot happening in his life.Without the period spent on his own, which had to have shaped Andy in several ways, without everything happening the way it did, maybe their partnership wouldn't have worked out so well, maybe it wouldn't have worked at all.I mean,I'm obviously not speaking as someone who knows them, but from where I'm standing,it really looks to me like everything happened at the right time in both of their lives.Yeah,it would've been great had everything come to balance in his life earlier for Andy (I just mean that he seems to have got the balance with his personal life, his coaching team, his game, his mental state, etc really well at the moment),just from the point that it would've been lovely for him had he not had to wait so long for it,but I really feel like in some ways, things had to happen the way they did.

I think the USO win, happening almost right on cue in terms of anticipated evidence of a successful partnership, will have served notice on the sceptics that this team means business, and the goods are being delivered. They must be feeling pretty solid, and have reasonable expectations that the good times will continue if they keep the focus. I'm sure they will, and even if they don't, they have achieved what they set out to do.

Blimey Andy doesn't get much of a rest does he. Looks like they've already been broken. Rather torn as Jamie needs them to win but, while I like Andy playing dubs as it encourages him to come to net more, I think he shouldn't be overplaying given the schedule for next few weeks and the need not to get injured/too tired before 02.
dani I absolutely agree that I think Andy and Lendl came together at the right time -definitely for Andy and it looks like for Lendl too. 'There is a season.....'

Held on, 4-5
Seems tough for Nishikori, back on court after quite late singles and doubles yesterday - but he's really pushing Berdych - has taken 8th break point. Up 3-2 after 34mins

Actually walked past Paes at AO. Seems a nice guy. Was just taking it all in, having a wander around.
