Agree with blueberryhill. Playing doubles is probably just as much effort as practising for a few hours. If you watch closely the players hardly move! The person at the net basically moves sideways and stretches. The server doesn't do much more. I could probably play doubles. This is good practice for Andy. Great to see Laura smile as well. She's chuffed to bits Andy picked her in front of Heather Watson.

Well Ms Wade thinks playing two mixed doubles matches today will be good preparation for tomorrow also she seems remarkably full of praise for Andy and Laura. Quite honestly it wouldn't have troubled me if they'd lost their first match from the point of view of Andy conserving his energy. |

Extraordinary - well done - Andy is in 2 gold medal finals. Minimum 2 silver medals. Who would have thought this a week ago. I wouldn't have believed it but I am over the moon!!

This must be a tremendous confidence boost. All the time I was on the phone I could hear the crowd and it was just amazing. Two silver medals guaranteed. Who'd have thought that three weeks ago. I'm so proud! And it does silence the doubters who felt that Andy should have played with Heather Watson. |
