Djokovic : Dear fans and friends,
"Sadly i have to inform you that i have withdrawn from the further tournament. I have pushed myself to the limit by playing, and after the match yesterday my shoulder got worse. For this reason, I have to put my health first and withdraw even though my urges as a professional player are making me want to play until the last drop of energy. I am very sorry for all of you who bought tickets and wanted to come and watch me play. My season has been long and tiring, I played all of my matches at my highest level, and now my body is aching for recovery. Hoping for your understanding and support.
Love,"

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

As a professional, I had to play at least one match to guarantee my $1.6m ATP Bonus Pool money. I'll be thinking of you, my adoring fans, as I saunter into the yacht showroom.

Well the response of the dear fans was apparently to boo his picture when it came up on the screen!

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

The crowd did the same thing a few years ago when Federer withdrew from the tournament. They played a video of him apologising to the fans. I was in the crowd at the time. A lot of pissed off French people.

The one thing that can be said about French tennis fans is that they don't hesitate to let their feelings be known. Could you imagine this happening anywhere else?

That's what I like about the French, they don't take no messing. After all they did not have a revolution for nothing!

Anybody watching Fed V Berdych - score 2- 0 to Fed. I don't like Berdych but I'd love him to win today.

Fed looked imperious didn't he? Taking the ball very, very early, that's the way to beat Berdych and Andy CAN do that, he's done it against Rafa and Fed.
However, am very glad he didn't face this Fed after over 3 hours against Tomas. He would've lost and would've done his self-esteem no good, quite apart from the h2h
As it is, he sounded quite upbeat after last match.
Rumours going round net that Rafa has a hurtie shoulder....

The word you use BBh imperious suits him very well. The game was quite boring ,the comm said it's not exciting like yesterday with Tomas and Murray. So for all his work Tomas goes nowhere.

iamabritt, agree totally, although Fed was brilliant, the match was a washout after the thriller of yesterday
