1327: BREAKING NEWS: Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from next week's Aegon Championships at Queen's Club because of "ongoing knee problems". He says: "I have been having some problems in the past months with my knees, that's no secret, that did not allow me to compete always at 100%. I need to work with my team to recover well, work on my physical condition to be at my top form and get ready for the grass to play at Wimbledon. I hope I can be ready to compete by then."
Poor Nadal.
Andy's gonna be number 1 seed!!!!!

Surely Nadal won't miss Wimbledon? Odd of him to say that he 'hopes' to be fit for it though...

If Andy wins Queens, which is more likely now, bookies will make him no 1 favourite, AGAIN!

Nothing wrong with his knees. Utter nonsense. It's more excuses after a top player suffers some losses.
If his knees have been a probem, why did he stop strapping them?

Hello sweetness.
Maybe strapping them didn't do any good...

He has been strapping them for years and he dominated the tour in 2008 and early 2009 with strapping. He took them off precisely because his knees felt better. Why would he not start strapping them if they became a problem again? It makes no sense. It's pretty obvious that he's inventing excuses for his recent losses.

Not so sure he is actually "inventing" excuses ..... if he wants out of the tournament then he would have to provide a "believable doctor's line" wouldn't he ?

No, you're right, that doesn't make a lot of sense. Stupid to make excuses up though.

And that would be believable since he does have tendinitis in his knees. He has had it for years. He can just say it's bothering him and he'll get out of the tournament. The doctor can't second guess him.
