Andy at Rogers Cup 2012
« on: July 12, 2012, 09:06 PM »
Andy may (fingers crossed) or may not be in my home city straight after Olympics.
There's a wee message from him on the Rogers homepage here:
http://www.rogerscup.com/men/english/home.php
Hopefully someone will tell him NOT to go to Montreal, which is what his crappy official website has him down for.

I heard today I'm scheduled to get eye surgery on Tue Aug 7th.. a significant date bcos that's probably the day Andy plays.
I pleaded for cancellation, but surgeon can't do until end of October and I shouldn't really wait that long.
Seriously considering tossing a coin over this. Boooooo!
What would you do?

Oh that is bad timing, what are the odds of that happening? You should go ahead with your hospital appt, I know we are all a bit manic "Andy fans" but think how you would feel if Andy pulls out of the tourney or worse has a bad day at the office. You would be mighty hacked off!!!! As we all often say it is only a game at the end of the day but one that we all feel extremely passionate about so totally sympathise with your predicament, keep us posted.......

Well, my boss is going away on a due diligence course in Muskoka from Wednesday to Friday next week which means I’ll have to stay in and be in charge, so basically no time off for me next week. Will have to catch the evenings only and will have to leave from work as well, since it’s closer from work but this also means change of all schedules and plans. Haven’t bought any tickets yet since I have no idea how it’s all going to pan out after the Olympics event.

If Andy plays would be great point scoring oppotunity. But i guess it all depends on what happens on Sunday although im sure he wouldnt play first match until Wednesday which will give him a bit of time.

I wouldn't mind if he lost tbh. He's had a magnificent few months on the grass. He deserves a well earned rest. that boy needs a holiday. asap.
