Yes they are Connor but remember the people who are members are loaded and not many ordinary working people will be members something like Wimbledon. As benniebone says it is the "season" when all the so called sports fans come out for the "Season" it is more of a social event for the upper classes.
Some of them just think of it as a nice day out, but it's unfair to presume that just because there are a lot of rich members, that they can't possibly care for sport.  At least the rich folk at Queens have the decency to watch the tennis (albeit with a Pimms in hand), unlike a lot of the ticket holders in France and Spain, who seem to favour a long lunch to watching the tennis.

I'm pretty sure that a few commoners sneak through the net and get access too. w00t

£1750 donation from Ross to Rally for Cancer yesterday: "Andy going so strong in his 2 singles wins, Jamie with 2 great dubs wins and Colin & Jonny with 1 win today! so good to have boys winning!"

He's also paid £1,000 for Dan's two wins. He's giving £500 for singles wins, £250 for doubles. Colin has tweeted he'll give 10% of his prize money.

Also on the justgiving page, http://www.justgiving.com/RallyAgainstCancer2013

Anonymous donation of £20,000! With our grateful thanks for all of the support given by Royal Marsden during this difficult time for Ross. Your excellent work in taking care of this exceptional young man is very much appreciated

£3138 donation: Good luck from RADO Switzerland - Official Timekeeper of the Aegon Championships - and for the charity match!

Anonymous donation of £10,000 has been made

£51,000 raised so far. I really hope the weather forecast for Sunday is wrong
That's incredible.

I wonder who donated the £20k. Andy?

Exactly, the kind of support you're talking about is no different than say Monte Carlo, and the fact that you mentioned the type of supporter at Queen's is usually the type with too much money and time on their hands, they come out in force to watch the tennis. If this is what makes it different to other 250 tournaments then in my mind it's exactly the reason the tournament should be upgraded to a 500 event, maybe even a masters 1000.

Like Peter Fleming just mentioned in commentary, the centre court at Queen's was once regarded as the best grass court in the world, and is not too far from that even now Smile

Very interesting and matter of fact as usual.  But no wonder he pulled out of RG given that after Rome his back was so bad he was struggling to go upstairs and even to walk.

But - I've made a solid start, I'm feeling good and I hope it's just the start of things to come this summer.

We hope so too Andy!

Richard Branson.
It says 'with our grateful thanks ...'

Also referring to Ross as an 'exceptional young man' doesn't sound like Andy.

Andy said in his pre-match interview that they had collected £70,000.  They are now saying only £51,000.  Mind you have been into the website before for other charity collections and the info is way behind.

How much were they hoping to raise?  I seem to recall it was quite a large sum, or am I just imagining that?  I'm sure they'll get at least £100,000 though.

Jamie and his partner putting up a big fight against the Bryan machine.  Lost 1st set 7-6.  9-9 now in 2nd set TB.  And they take it 11-9.  Into a decider now.  CMON!!
