Andy Murray: 2012 Olympics Will Be A Special Experience  [10sballs.com, 21 July]

“It would be a pretty special experience,” Murray said of competing in mixed doubles with his brother. “It would probably top most things we’ll do in our careers if we do play together at a home Olympics at Wimbledon.”

The question I should like to ask: if Andy is playing "mixed doubles" with his brother, which one will be wearing skirt, bra and knickers?

Incidentally, I understood that the Centre Court would not be in use for the Olympics. Am I wrong?

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Don't worry Aileen - it seems like quite a slow thread. Probably too far ahead for most members.
These threads can always be resurrected from time to time, so no problems - as long as one of us remembers ...

Well spotted, OSS!  However, I gather that Elena Baltacha has expressed an interest in partnering Andy in the XD, and I think, with her experience, that that would be a good pairing.

Yes.  From the Mail article -

"Players will be able to wear what colours they wish and, heaven forbid, there will be signage and bunting around the Centre Court.

The Royal Box will be the domain of IOC grandees and sponsors."

yes you are wrong OSS.  I have a ticket for court 1 for the bronze play-offs and the finals are on centre court.  Can't imagine the olympics committee would accept the exclusion of centre court.
Hadn't there been talk of Andy partnering Laura Robson given their experience together in Hopman Cup?

Could well be Caz - glad you're enjoying the thread and it can run and run for a year now!!  Though I guess it will go really quiet when we have more immediate priorities.  Already beginning to feel excited that Andy will be playing again next week. cmon yeah
