I'm sure something similar was said this time last year...

And it would have held if he could actually peak for a hard court Slam...

If he fails to surpass his RG result at the USO for a 3rd straight year he might as well be called a Clay specialist.

I'd like to see Andy taking a few more risks when he plays a 'fit' Nole, as Nole doesn't usually make nearly so many unforced errors as he did the other day! Also, the risky shots Andy did play, though he's bound to miss some, mostly paid off! I don't like it when he appears to be just waiting for the other guy to make an error......I'd like to see him coming into the net more, but then, what do I know?

I agree Caz in particular re coming into the net more as he is so good at the net.  People like Johnnie Mac says he has such good hands - he should use them.  And I think I agree too re taking more risks but judiciously and perhaps he wasn't judicious enough after that awful miss against Rafa.

Well what can I add to that, as those are the exact things I would like Andy to do, as he is brilliant at them. Does he have to learn how to use all those brilliant gifts at a certain time during the match and cant quite get the perfect formula, what do I know!

It looks as though Andy's kit for the USO will be black with red trimming.  Anyone got any thoughts on the colours?

Thanks Colin.
Yes I'd inadvertently locked the poll it seems.  That's what comes of letting technical incompetents start threads.  Whistle

Where did you see that Iris?  And are you sure that's not just his night wear?  I'd prefer red with black trimmings myself (well for his top).  He looks so good in red and as we've discussed on another thread it's the colour of fire and we need Andy to be fired up and firing on all cylinders.

I hope not, as these are the colours favoured by Djokovic

Before the Cincinnati he was meant to be wearing black, I think and he wore white, if it's hot I wouldn't be surprised to see him wearing white again, as it cooler.
