Andy played very well last night. What a difference from his previous match. More confident and better serving and shot making. Hope his next match goes as well.

It will, he's gathering a nice momentum as we move to the business end of the tourney - everything is clicking in place nicely, its interesting some of the comms are suggesting that Andy's extreme nervousness on Friday when playing Haase, could be attributed to his own mental confusion on how to play this type of player (someone who serves big, and hits big - high risk stratergy)?

Why does he have to have a hiccough in every tournament??!!  There should be special life insurance policies for Andy's fans! Very Happy

If Andy didn't seem such a nice lad, I'd say he has a sadistic streak in him!

Yes but imagine what the premiums would be like if we fessed up to being Andy Murray fans on the application form!  Whistle

Why is Murray opposed to the Monday final? After all that fuss about lack of rest days.

He said that he would have rather stuck with a Sunday final because in would have meant that Djokovic and Federer had to play on consecutive days whereas now they will have had a day off between each of their games, while he and Rafa will have had to play 4 matches in 5 days.

Yes I agree the scheduling of this tournament beggars believe. It is too obvious that certain players in this tournament have had preferential treatment. Mr Smug and Djokovic being the main one's to benefit. Here's hoping that next year there will be changes made, namely the first round being concluded by the Tuesday.  Also something has to be done about the courts getting wet. Could not believe it when they said covers on the courts were ugly, what kind of mentality is that. They make millions out of this tournament it is time they are realistic and start thinking about putting a roof over one of the courts. This business of having the semi's on the Saturday and the finals on Sunday is unfair to all who make it to the finals. Do they think the players are machines, they need a days break for the final to be fair to both players. The present situation has to be changed or all the problems in the present US Open will remain. Whistle Whistle Whistle
