Has Murray said anything differently? Perhaps the feeling is mutual. It can't be easy playing a friend in order to get what you want in life. It's probably easier on all of them if they don't get too friendly.
I seem to remember something being said at the AO about Ivan - sorry Mr. Lendl - putting an end to football five-a-sides or something similar between the Murray and Djokovic camps. He thought it was better not to be too friendly with the opposition. Personally I think a friendship with Andy would be worth more than any slam.

Well I love Nole
He had the guts and determination to take on the Fedal duopoly and win.
Same reason I love Rafa for taking it to Fed, when Fed was boringly dominating everything.
Awww, nice words bbh.
I do think it's sad, but Nole said something about "professional distance". And I remember Andy saying something before the AO 2012 - after Lendl came aboard - about stopping with the footie pre-tourney etc.
You certainly don't see Fed and Nadal hanging out. Sure there is respect, but no "hanging out." Sometimes I wonder if Andy and Rafa hanging out and playing playstation is to Andy's detriment on court? Don't know - but Andy has the goods to beat Rafa, imo, but just hasn't done so too much. I am interested to see how their rivalry will evolve, next year, or when Rafa returns.
But all that having been said - about keeping distance, and so forth - I also heard Nole say that he and Andy watched football
just yesterday
before Andy's semi! Also, Nole and Andy practiced before the Olympics. So I take all this talk with a small grain of salt.

janetx, agree about Andy and Rafa. Just too much respect on Andy's part, which he often talks about.
Doesn't feel the lerve for Fed and look at the H2H

I wouldn't mind betting that there will be no-one cheering more for Andy tonight than a certain Mallorcan resident!
