A scroat by the name HeartoftheMatter has posted this on the RF Forum.

^^Since we are on the subject of attitudes, ethics, and other behaviours that become champions, even if they do celebrate, as they deserve to, after all the work and adrenaline overload, I do have an issues with the dandy andy, too.
Since Wimbledon, after he won the semi, he wondered around the court, holding two forefingers up toward the sky, and looking upward.
This poignantly reminded me, and I am sure others, of the terrible incident at Dublane, which was braodcast, most inappropriately, I thought, during the rain delay of the finals/
Now, this heavenward look at the two fingers pointing upward seem to say "for all those who died and I was spared" or "I was spared, but for them, too".
All right, if this is how he wants to take it. But then don't let's see, during a rainbreak, the tragic story broadcast. Any other time, yes, but not then. It is taking advantage of a tragedy that had happened, to boost morale and sympathy toward him.
And on the other hand, he sure made a truly ugly face after his semifinal at the USO. It was on the website, and it nearly equalled in its repelling quality, the djoke face.
So win, and look skyward, and pump your fist, whatever, But no king kong, or skyward looking and then making a face like a dumb little devil.
So I suggest that the USO have no finalist, no winner, this year.
Read some dreadfull stuff over there in my time but this goes through the floor.

What you need to remember is that Federer fans will stoop as low as possible to denigrate rival players. They play all sweet and innocent, claiming that they only appreciate good tennis, but many of them are utterly foul really. Bitter losers in their own lives, they tag on to Federer to gain some sort of vicarious happiness, but reveal their true colours very often.

Had to just come over here and celebrate with you guys a bit! It's been a while but this is where I started as an Andy fan and all the years of wondering and speculating and being disappointed all seem worth it now, somehow. Makes this moment all the more special. To all of you, Andy's devoted fans, enjoy this moment cause you've had the faith and suffered with him for 7 years and 28 slams so you deserve it as much as he does.

Oh Federer's fans can get stuffed now. He is scum, a lot of his fans are scum. So what? Andy has done something utterly unique. He is the first man to win Olympic gold and the US Open in the same year. High and mighty Federer didn't do that did he? Ha!

Federer fans are so bitter. The fact that Andy stopped him from getting the golden career slam pleases me greatly, and now he has done what Fed couldn't do the last 2 years and beat Djokovic in a 5 set match at the US open.
Still can't quite believe he has finally won a slam after all this time waiting and all the disappointments but it has been so worth the wait.
