Yay Andy's in Djokovic's half, makes for an interesting switch-up. What a dream final Andy vs Rafa would be.

thanks for laying out so clearly bhs.  Well - and I hope this isn't famous last words - looks like pretty decent draw until he gets to QF.  Is there anyone who might put Birdy out before then?  After that, I much prefer he should meet Nole than Rafa in SF as I said above.

well the good news is that, if all goes to seeding, Andy faces Nole not Rafa in SF; the bad news is he faces Birdy in QF.  But still he beat both of them last year so why not this year.  I bet Nole fans are going 'aaagghh' at thought he's drawn short straw of Andy in SF.
About time Novak had a hard draw, he's managed to get it worst this time; Delpo, Murray then Nadal that should be a good test for him if it happens.

Berdy due to play Stan before the QF. Stan leads Berdy 6-5 on H2H.

Stan seems to be going through a bit of a dip right now though Elena and 6-5 is pretty close.  Do you know what the H2H is on hard courts?  Of course Stan has beaten Andy at USO before and he is another player who does seem to stretch Andy regularly.

In the words of Pseudofed (thought he meant them rather differently than I do)

" Stanford. He knows what to do."

(C'mon Stan!)

So the pair of them could have a very long and strength sapping match, Stan wins and then Andy beats him in three sets! Is fresh and raring to go against Novakl. w00t

That's great but Wawrinka can be as tough a draw as Berdych is.

I think Berdych has more chances of beating Andy than Stan but you never know. Shrug

Any idea about Andy's match time?

Gasquet vs Ferrer QF would be horrible for the game of Tennis. Hope some players step up and end the nonsense jokes.

I don't think Andy's draw is too bad until the quarters, and if it comes to it I'd favour him over Berdych in a best of five, assuming they both get there. Andy beat Berdych last year in the semi's. He can do it again in the quarters. In spite of the head to head with Stan, Berdych will probably be favourite to get to the quarters, but you never know with him.

It's funny, I think a lot of us thought Andy would be in Djokovic's half. I bet Djokovic can't wait for that! Who would have predicted Novak getting Delpo in the quarters though. Again, I bet Novak can't wait, assuming Delpo is fit, which is always a question.

We'll see if that final actually happens. I have the strangest feeling it won't, but, at the risk of tempting fate, I don't see Andy being the one to go out before. Just a feeling on my part that, but we'll see.

I've another scenario  Fed against Nadal, Fed realizes he can't beat Nadal , so he fires a ball at Nadal who drops to the floor trying to avoid the ball, gets up and comes to the net, Fed hits Nadal over the head with his racket in frustration, knocks Nadal out and Fed is DQ. That way the so called gentleman is seen in another light..........
