Stanislas Wawrinka ‏@stanwawrinka 28m Great practice with @andy_murray !! Thanks to @danielvallverdu and Ivan! @usopen pic.twitter.com/6cj73reoLJRetweeted by US Open Tennis

No Ivan in the pic but sounds like he's about!

Aww bless him! I certainly hope Mr M will not spend any time on practice court with Rafa, he needs to concentrate on himself.

oops something happened to the pic link :-(
Here it is Westie - You need to copy and paste the pic's URL once you've opened the link to get it to work on here.  Nice to see Andy and Stan looking so happy. Smile

Have posted on news articles thread another Guardian piece quoting Johnnie Mac saying Andy will be hard to beat.  If Mac isn't worried by Montreal and Cinci, I'm not  yay
Have a wonderful time you lucky ones flying out to NY.

Courage doesn't always roar - but wins Wimbledon

Just a thought, but as defending champion, doesn't Andy have to go to the draw? I remember (I think) Djokovic going last year.

I hope all of you who are going have a fantastic time. Make lots of noise for Andy and give us a wave Smile.

Well I never thought I'd see the day! Simon Reed is backing Andy for the USO. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet, I'm too shocked!

What a lovely pic of Andy and Stan, thanks Aileen.

Given Simon Reed's terrible record with predictions, I'm not so sure it's a good thing!

Hopefully Djokovic will be in his half, Nadal vs Murray would be an amazing final Smile

I've been thinking about Andy being seeded 3rd in the USO and I really don't think it will make a lot of difference to the outcome, and some people in the media are making a song and dance about it. After all Andy was the second seed in Wimbledon and he had Nadal and Federer on his side of the draw, so if Nadal and gone further and got to the semis Andy would have played against Nadal and then Novak.
Having said that I think it is quite possible that Nadal could go out before the semis.
All I want is that Berdy, JJ are on Novak's side and that Andy has a decent draw and a few easy opponents at the start so that he will have time to ease himself into the tournament.
