The opponents are almost irrelevant. If Andy plays like he did against Mahut he can lose to anyone. If he plays anywhere near a good level and cuts down on the UFE's he'll coast through to the second week, and should have few problems reaching the semis.
However his draw is full of players who WILL punish him if he's not on his game.
Karlovic in particularly worries me. Before this year I've always looked forward to matches against the big servers but these last few months Andy has really struggled on his return against all of them. Berdych, Raonic, Mahut all matches he lost where he really struggled to get the first serve back in court.

The wet, cold weather has certainly affected some posters, talk about pessimists. Come on let the sun shine on you and believe in Andy, he will come from behind and silence all the doubters. Always better to come from under radar, no pressure of expectation, just the pressure Andy puts on himself.I think Ivan must be having a sly smile as he knows what Andy can do.

He has struggled with the big servers recently, but with Berdych and Raonic they both have big shots to back up their serve too. And Mahut is great at the net. With Karlovic, the rest of his game is not as good so Andy shouldn't have too many problems.

Had a look ast the H2H for Andy and they look favourable.
Davydenko 5-4 (Davydenko's in early matches)
Dimitrov 1-0
Cilic 5-1
Del Potro 5-1
Karlovic 3-0
Anderson 1-1
Gasquet always beaten in GS
Ferrer beaten on hard courts only lost on clay.
I konow this does not always work but it must help mentally.
That's of course one way of looking at things and that certainly helps a great deal. I'd too rather he faces Cilic in the 4th round and Del Potro in qtr as you've lined up in your list, because Andy will be able to beat both Ranoic and Ferrer, but in both matches Andy will have to stay focused 100% throughout the match and that's a very difficult task for him to do. He needs to be able to breathe and let things go from time to time and that's essential for him. I personally don't like any match vs Ferrer on any surface because he simply takes a lot out of you and Andy certainly can't afford it. I am also not a big fan of endless rallies that Ferrer seems to thrive on. Both Cilic and Del Potro, on the other hand, will be too eager to keep the points short and that will keep the matches short and will also allow Andy to save his energy for the later rounds. So as I see it, both Ranoic and Ferrer are just bad opponents for Andy especially in a GS. But all these players will have to keep their end of the bargain and pass the first few tests as well. Raonic, for example, has Giraldo in the first round and that's a tricky round for him. But let's just wait and see. As someone said, best to take one match at a time.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that, Federer is our least concern. First of all, he's not on our side of the draw and second, he now has one too many nemesis who can take him out of the tournament. Our real enemy is Nadal and he too has given a very kind draw. His AO and RG were something of a joke as well. He should really be the main concern here. If anything, we should probably discuss what can Andy do to overcome this Nadal problem.

I'll be delighted if Andy gets to the semis - if he does he will have been well tested and ready for Nadal.

Oh I think the roof will be in use most of the time. Wimbledon will probably run till the end of september!

Just a grand optimist I am. Anyway, Andy does have the potential to make the semi here or at least he'll find a way to make it.

I have every believe that Andy will get to the semis, don't know about winning though, as with the back issue, and not had that long really with Llendl, I think we have to wait till next year, when I will be expecting something special!!!!

MM @3.37 yesterday
Thanks to you and others for reminding us that whatever our doubts and fears we need to get behind Andy - not with unrealistic expectations [if it turns out the back isn't right yet] but with simple support. And if he's going through a period of transition as he tries to integrate a stronger fh into his game, then we may have to be patient and accept that it won't happen this Wimbledon. If he manages to get to SF and put up a good fight there then I think he'll have done very well.
Oh and Grabcopy how could you even think that a mere bet could be equivalent to Andy winning?

The table below shows how many South African Airways ATP Rankings points each player will have after Wimbledon 2012 based on which round he reaches.
