Uh Hazy, Djokovic never plays Barca.

Nadal has same schedule as Andy from now til US Open, apart from Halle as opposed to Queens.

But Andy is unlikely to get to the final of many of the next four clay tournaments so I don't think the schedule will overwork him.

Stakhovsky -> Chela -> Almagro -> Ferrer is Andy's potential schedule then, if it were to go with ranking and obviously if Andy gets past each opponent.

Almagro will be a good test if they both get that far. Very good clay courter.

Oh and thanks JK for the draw. Smile

I do see your point Katie, and I appreciate it takes him time to adapt to this surface but looking at his runs on Clay last year, he certainly seems to appear to have realistic chances to be going deep in the clay masters and the FO than before therefore it is a tricky one I do see what you are saying, but I also feel staying fresh for the summer is crucial! But he has a good team around him and I am sure Lendl will have a good idea of how to man that schedule!

Yes managing the schedule for this year is a tough one to get right. Rafa's schedule looks loaded as he's likely to reach all the clay finals - I wouldn't be surprised if he missed Madrid as he hates the altitude and blue clay. I can see both sides of the argument for Andy but think that he will benefit from matches on clay. I agree that staying fresh for the summer is very important - for both Andy and Federer this is likely to be where most of their success will come from.

Glad he's not on Berd's side of the draw this time! Almagro will be tough in the QF.

Does anyone know when TV coverage begins. Had a look in TV Times but it says next Thursday. Bye the way Berdych has just broken Nole's serve score 5-4 in the first set.

I'd like to be impartial, but I can't!

If only Nishikori hadn't spooned it wide at at break point, 4-4 in the final set in the 3rd round. Had the point as good as won but spooned the final shot into the tramlines, Berdych went on to hold the game and break him for the match next game.

No danger the Bird is going to win now.  2nd set to Djoko 6-3.  But his performance has certainly put Andy's match into a better perspective, especially the way he's constantly pushing Djoko way behind the baseline as he did with Andy.

ANDY MURRAY:  Yeah, there are a lot of things I would have liked to have done better.  It takes a lot of time for me to do it on this surface.  It doesn't come straightaway.  It takes time for me to understand the way I'm needing to play.
At some points today in the match I did well; some points I didn't do so well.  It's going to take me a few weeks.  Today is a good match to learn from because I was playing a top player who played very, very well.
It was a long match.  Physically, you know, good for me I think, as well.  2 hours and 40 minutes.  I did a lot of the running.  It was good for me physically. Just playing matches is what I need right now.

Looks like a potential easy opponent for the 2nd round.
