Sven Groneveld posted a video clip on twitter of Andy practising so I guess he's working with Andy.

Not sure what to expect from this week, I just hope he can win some matches here - hard to believe that he's not won a tour-level hard court match since Australia when it's supposed to be his best surface...

Thanks Catnap - reassuring.  And agree with Aileen that good he will have extra time to practise even if it means I might miss the match as out tomorrow evening [though to be honest not too sad if I have an excuse to record it rather than watch it live  Whistle]
Oh and Apollo - no need to apologise!  Didn't mean to pick you up on how you said it.  Just wish Andy would remember sometimes that he IS Mr Magic!!   yay

Roddick has had a hard time, people thought with his mighty serve that he was one of the great ones for America.  He improved his net game and his returns, but not enough.  Plus his temperment gets the best of him....he is very frustrated these days.

Andy Murray is a much better player, his game is much more diverse and outside of letting your temper get the best of you, and both having Brad Gilbert as a coach, I don't see them as the same.

Have never been a big fan of Roddick ever since i saw him take a lines lady to task over a foot fault,he berated her no end ,at the same time knowing how hard these guys work and train i feel empathy for them when things go amuck .Yes i know it's the nature of the beast.

Yes, that was really embarrassing for what he did to the linesperson, these people do this for free and do not deserve bad treatment from the players.  It did not put Andy in a very good light and may have lost him fans.  Somehow, I think if he gets mad at his wife, that he may treat her the same way, of course that's his personal business.....but the other hurts tennis.

Read a very interesting article by Kevin what's his name, Mitchell(?) in The Guardian. He likened Andy to Safin calling them both "brilliant and fragile." Apparently Andy lost to Safin at Cincy, when he was 4 in the world. I thought it was an interesting comparison, which I am still mulling over. Think
Just seen Tsonga wipe the floor with Cilic..um..not too injured then... Whistle

Yes Mitchell bbh.  Read it too.  But Safin's problem was that he was something of a playboy I think, which not our Andy's problem.   Yes couldn't see any evidence of an injured arm either.  But I guess we need to be careful not to jump to conclusions like people did when Andy played well with an injured ankle earlier this year.
