^ Thanks for highlights Bev.  Some good aggressive forehands from Andy.. hope to see more of those.
Nadal on cruise control.
Djoker has to get past the fast wee Ferret.
Anyone know why Tsonga is seeded higher than Ferrer at this event?

It's because he overtook Ferrer in the rankings on Monday - only 35 points in it though and given Ferrer's record on clay I expect it won't be long until he gets number 5 back again. I'd forgotten about this change though, quite glad that Novak's got Ferrer in the QF and not Andy!

Andy's draw's not easy but not impossible either. Really it depends on how he's starts the tournament, although given Troicki's tendency to lose from winning positions I'd be surprised if he can cause the upset over Andy in the first match. Melzer's never easy to play and Berdych will be a real test of Andy's clay form.

"...Berdych will be a real test of Andy's clay form."...... Don't like that 'B' word.

No me neither! Though he might have to face Cilic and Nishikori beforehand so there's no guarantees that he'll make the QF...

Looks like my son's did when he got drunk the night before his sister's wedding.  He woke up with a shaved head - it seemed like a good idea at the time seemingly - his sister wasn't impressed!
I bet she wasn't !!  shocking

Troiki/Lisnard match is scheduled for tomorrow.
Only 4 matches played today because of rain.

Doubles draw is up, and Jamie & Andy could meet Colin & Ross in the final...

You guys might enjoy watching this, I just watched it and the second set in particular was inspiring tennis on the clay. I still believe if it hadn't been for the relief from Andy's elbow injury wearing off from the cortisone injection, the 3rd set would have been much, much closer.

Andy almost certain to play Troicki first. And he's in the Joker's half.

Sorry this isn't news, just read the previous posts.

I expect Andy to reach the final here.  I also predict Andy will win the French Open.

Andy was surprisingly close to Nadal last year on clay, it was a big improvement, and he had the Djoker all over the place in Rome and should have won.

He is still an outsider for any of these dirt tournaments, having said that, he could take such confidence for wimbledon if he could only make a breakthrough on clay.  He always leaves the dirt having given a mental edge to the three above him, it would be so beneficial if that was not the case this year.

Here is hoping Andy can improve some more.  I have my doubts about Rafa lasting the pace.  He had a month off and then came back and couldn't manage to finish Miami, that has to be a worry.  I think we will be seeing a lot more Andy v Nole in finals this year.
