Hey Al, are you anywhere near Schalke??

Gelsenkirchen is about 80km away and I’ve been there twice to watch MSV and Rangers play S04.

It is a great stadium and about an hour by train from here (the price of which is included in the price of the ticket).

I see Federer HAS now decided to go to Monte Carlo as a wildcard.   Rolling Eyes

Think he doesn't want to lose his finalist points from last year without getting some return!  lol

Imagine if Andy gets him in the second round!  shocking

Andy can only meet Federer in the semi-final or final. Federer will still be the 2nd seed.

He's a stupid punk! Why not go in the first place? Must have forgotten that he actually had to think about his points total these days!

Perhaps the constant sycophancy of his creepy fans is not having the same effect any more? The number of freaks I see around various forums saying the same old thing - "you're still the real number one in our eyes Roger". Perhaps he actually believed it for a long time? Now that he's Murray's bitch, he might have woken up to the fact that a slide down the rankings is coming if he doesn't put in the appearances that everyone else does!

lol  I'm laughing, Joe.  I have to admit, that I don't frequent any other tennis sites.  Not really interested tbh.  I'm interested in the tennis and other players, but I'm an Andy fan, and having been here since the beginning, it's not even just about the tennis, but about this community here.  Bugger going on some site to be a sycophantic fan.  no

Decent draw until the semis. Smile http://www.atpworldtour.com/tennis/en/common/TrackIt.asp?file=/1/posting/2009/410/mds.pdf

R2 > Hanescu or qualifier
R3> Cilic (15th seed)/qualifier or Berdych/qualifier
QF > Davydenko (8th seed) or possibly Nalbandian (12th seed).
SF > Rafa (1st seed)

I was just about to post that lol

It is a good draw. Shame he's in Nadal's half, but tbh, I'm not sure it would make much difference. If he makes the semi's and puts on a good show that's a massive win for the week. Quarters and I'm still happy. But we'll wait and see Smile

QFs are realistic (though Hanescu could be tricky) but having Nalbandian and Donkey in his quarter is bad, IMO. Donkey has won a few titles on clay and been to the final in others, also reached SF at Roland Garros in 2007. Nalby can obviously be tough when he feels like it.
This cautiousness is based on Andy not having any real history on clay though - hopefully his general massive improvement since last year will render all the other players in his draw meaningless!

Just noticed that Djoko has Almagro as a potential 3rd round opponent! Could be curtains for the Serb there, in which case Andy only has to win one match to secure world No. 3!
