I'm not betting on anyone at the moment, just happy to have some tennis and a new chapter for Andy. What will be - will be as far as I'm concerned. It would be wonderful if .........!!!
Sky Sports Extra are televising some Washington matches from Friday afternoon onwards, I believe del P is taking part and I'll check how he's doing later on. Must do some work!
I want to see badly his match against Hewitt ..... i think Lleyton will win ....

His hard court performances are the sh*t.
Oh ? He has 4 hard court titles, 2 clay court titles, has been ranked #5 in the world (currently #6) and he's only 20 years old.

And he is the only man in history to have won his first four titles consecutively

Del Potro is still a tier below the top four.

Exactly, which diminishes the achievement a little.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like him much but he seems like he could be a little bit of a threat, if not to andy, then to others. He seems like the kinda guy who can easily turna first set loss around and fight back

The only top players that didn't go to the Olympics was Roddick, I think. Del Potro didn't go as he wasn't ranked high enough at the time for entry to the olympics.

So, based on that ^ then - Federer winning the French is diminished because Nadal wasn't "there" (in the Final) ........

Good point but that was one player, not a large number of them

Well, it's nonsense to logically compare a Grand Slam and a couple of ATP tournaments. Also, Nadal failed to reach the final, it's not as if he missed the tournament.
In any case, Del Potro seems to be the leader of the chasing pack, I'd back him to win a slam in the next 2 years.
