The Tradesman will want to get the job done here. After a bad job in Mugtreal, he will prepare his tools more wisely this time. He will need his belt sander, screwdriver, saw, drill, spanner, hammer and alan key to ensure optimum performance. In true Tradesman fashion he will be determined not to make a **** up of two jobs in a row.... if he does, Lendl will get the 9 iron.

as far as I can see Gulbis and Youzny aren't playing today, which means Andy can't play before Wednesday.  I was hoping they'd give him till Wednesday anyway so he has more time to acclimatise to Cinci.  Wasn't there some big golf match on in the US yesterday?  No doubt Lendl was watching that.

I don't follow the golf Ruthie, but I have just been watching the news. Apparently the golf at the moment is the last major of the year. Funnily enough I thought of Lendl when they said it Smile.

Yeah of course we all do. I think tho that Nadal is playing better than he was then ...so will be a tougher proposition when they do meet. Will be very interesting to see if Andy can beat an inform and injury free Rafa in a slam and win it. If Andy can do that ...id say regardless of ranking points...that he is the No1 player in tennis at the moment.

Nadal might have improved since they met last, but so has Andy, in many, many ways.

In a way I think the sooner we see them play each other the better it will be. I still feel that a fit, in form Andy would show Nadal a thing or two these days. He's beaten Nadal in hard court slams before, and I don't buy into the idea that Nadal was injured every time.

Tradesman, don't agree that that name does him justice, it under rates him significantly - he's got too much talent to be a mere tradesman. Sorry Prodigy I feel he deserves better than that.

wow, good thing I don't know how to start a thread....  So Andy gets a chance to revenge Gulbis possibly.  Sometimes thats a good thing.  Gulbis is a good player but Andy can beat him.  We all have off days.

I think Gulbis might be in for a shock this time! We'll double our efforts sending Andy 'the force' Apollo! I can't wait!

I agree it makes him sound very "run of the mill" which Andy definitely is not.  He is more of a Craftsman than a Tradesman.
