Andy at Cincy 2013

thought that was interesting too bhs in that very good interview on news articles thread. But while I'm sure he's right that Lendl's impact has been largely psychological I think Lendl has also helped him improve his forehand no end and generally play less defensively - though of course these might be linked to Andy feeling better about himself.
I think it's probably a combination of both psychological and physical.  Andy was undoubtedly helped psychologically but without some tweaks and improvements to his game that alone wouldn't have been sufficient to get him to where he is now.

Agreed, but I have a theory that tennis players bang on about confidence, and those factors instead of tactics, because they don't want to give the game away about what they've been doing.  Let their opponents do their own scouting to work it out Very Happy

well Andy will know that and therefore shouldn't make the mistake of underestimating him just because he's always beaten him (easily I think). And Youzhny is one of those players who can be very volatile.  Provided Andy has found his timing, he should be fine.  If he hasn't, it could be a struggle.
