Andy Murray at Wimbledon - June 24 - July 7, 2013

They haven't played in a while and Youzhny is playing with new confidence. This match should be a little more than the Robredo one. Youzny knows how to play on grass. Andy however has more weapons and quite lethal on grass. He should still prevail no matter what Youzhny brings to the table.
They've met twice before in 2007 (carpet) + 2009 (hard), Andy won both. Smile

He will, and should be wary though!!!

I know the H2H. It's been a while and that makes a difference but both have improved of course.

Andy takes Wimbledon very seriously and that's the best part.

Well I've seen it all now. In a week where we saw Nadal and Federer go out before the third round, you would think that it was impossible for Wimbledon to pull any more surprises. Then up pops our Andy in the Royal Box, and looking gorgeous in a very smart blue suit. I loved the reception he got too, it made me fill up - blimey, I'm like that now, what might I be like next weekend if.....Hold that thought!

I wonder how long Andy might stick around today. The seats look quite comfy, but I can't imagine he'd want to use too much energy. Then again the thought of him sitting there and looking down on Djokovic later amuses me for some reason Whistle.

Would Novak have to bow to Andy ? Whistle

Youzhny is a very dangerous opponent. Andy will need to be on his game.

No, they did away with all that, didn't they. It's a nice thought though Whistle.

I'm not sure Andy did stay long. He's done an interview with Gary Richardson (I bet that was fun for Andy, having to be interviewed by the bloke who thinks it's clever to ask the same question four times, just phrased slightly differently Whistle). He said he had some media stuff to do and was going to Pilates this afternoon.

Absolutely. He's in great form right now and his game flourishes on grass. Third straight 4th round here and made the QFs last year.

Yes, I agree. The latest match I watched of him was the one vs Federer in Halle and he really had Federer on the ropes for the most part.

I do believe Andy will be on it from the get go however. No fooling around here at Wimbledon unlike USO.

I hope so. If he's on form he'll probably destroy him, but any loss of concentration or slow starts and he will be punished.

The funny thing is I've never thought of Youzhny as a grass courter. I'd forgotten he's made the quarter finals at SW19. I think I've watched the poor thing lose to Federer too often!

It won't do Andy any harm to have to stay on his toes.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was lucky enough to be on Centre Cpurt yesterday, I couldn't believe it when Sue announced Andy, he got a standing ovation from the crowd, loads of the Olympians wanted to have their photo taken with Andy, but he didn't stop in the Royal Box, but he chatted to Sir Chris Hoy and his wife for quite a time.
When we were having a cup of tea later a Steward who was policing the Members area  showed us a photo of him with Andy, he said that Andy was with Ross and this Navy chap had asked Ross to take the photo.
