I don't want to bi*ch at him until the book is out but I will be very disappointed at him if he suddenly is able to give a detailed account of events.

Did anyone read 'Andy Murray: The Story So Far...' a few years ago? That had quite a bit on Leon Smith and Dunblane but I hope Hitting Back does more than just tell the story.

Not sure if it's normal but a lot of the young stars have done it. But regardless, releasing an autobiography this early is generally not a very respected thing to do.

It's the lying I have a problem with him, why on earth woudn't he just say "I don't feel comfortable talking about it"? Everyone would understand. The problem with this is some people will accuse him of lying just so he could wait to put it in a book and essentially profit from it.
Well since this is a memory that probably can make a grown man cry, I see he doesn't want to 'talk' about it, since talking involves 'to someone', in the context of the quote someone is a whole room full of press including photographers and TV cameras...
... that's a whole different ball game than writing about it in your own room, in solitude (where no-one can see the tears and you won't feel embarrassed, and harassed by the pictures afterwards).

Absolutely agree nads, just hope he hasn't lied. Everyone would understand if he simply refused to talk about it due to being uncomfortable.

If he did lie does it really bother you that he gave an excuse for it? Because to me either way shows he doesn't want to talk about it and should respect him for that until he does feel comfortable talking about it.

I agree with Amy - it's not like he lied to spite anyone or to trick someone out of the story....

Like I said, even though it makes absolutely no sense to lie about it, if he lied and then kept it at that, no problem.
But if he lied and then writes a book which has a detailed account then it looks like he lied for the wrong reasons. After all, if he simply told the truth the public would understand completely, he would receive absolutely no criticism and therefore where is the motive behind lying apart from profiting from the events?
Please, someone tell me a motive for lying when the truth would equally as good if not better for Murray personally and for the public?

Oh dear, looks like he did lie to the press and now is being paid £1m to finally reveal his account of the events.
