Murray has said very little on the issue but devotes eight pages of his book to it.
Sounds to me like he didn't forget after all.

Why don't you all just wait and see what he has actually said about it instead of speculating, and he'd have been paid the million pounds anyway regardless of what's in the book. He's held off a lot longer than some young sports people ie Amir Khan and Lewis Hamilton.  You've got him hung, drawn and quartered before you even read it.

Both those people have actually achieved something special, in tennis terms and relative to both those stars, Andy Murray has achieved very little.

Even if he did lie I still think you are being too harsh on him.

I think kitkat is right as well. And even if he lied, its the sort of lie anyone would say. For example, if someone asks me a question and I can't bed bothered for him, I'll often just answer 'I don't know' even though I really do know.

Good posting! Plus, the eight pages in the book might be about how it affected him at the time and since - it might not have details that he apparently "lied" about.

Yeah, I'll reserve judgement on this with that in mind.

I HOPE Andy Murray won't use his horrific memories of the Dunblane tragedy to help sell his book.

In fact, I hope he won't write a book at all.

Books are for sports stars at the fag end of their careers - telling readers what they've won and how they won it.

At the moment, Andy's record in major tournaments is the square root of hee-haw.

So put down the pen, Andy, and pick up that bat thing.

Wimbledon is just around the corner and Scotland would rather have a new JP McEnroe than another JK Rowling.

Khan has achieved bugger all.  An Olympic Silver is no better than Andy's exploits as a junior.  It's amateur boxing and is in no way comparable to professional achievements.

Agreed there! I was wondering that as well when I saw him saying he's achieved something.

Fair point, I don't know much about Khan but from what I've seen in the media I thought he had achieved quite a lot. Guess not Smile

Don't get me wrong, he will be a world champion, though.  Matter of time really.
