I also found it quite an interesting read, especially how close he was to being killed in the war.

Novak Djokovic reaches across the table and takes the copy of “Hitting Back”, Andy Murray’s recently published autobiography. “Very nice,” he exclaims, examining the cover with wonder, “I didn’t expect this.”

“You didn’t?” I inquire.

“No. He told me he’s not a book reader so I’m very surprised he wrote a book.”

Marian Vajda, his Slovakian coach, arrives and pulls up a chair. “I hope he is not telling you dirty jokes,” he smiles.

“No, he’s been teaching me how to speak Czech,” I reply.

“Look at this,” Djokovic announces, waving Murray’s book.

“He wrote a book!” Vajda gulps, incredulous.

“He doesn’t read a book but he writes a book,” Djokovic smiles. “It’s a nice book.”

“Oh it’s nice,” the coach agrees.

Greg's chin is massive.  Mr Incredible needs to realise that he's in the biggest glass house ever conceived.

It's a great book. It's a modern classic. lol  I really enjoyed it actually. It's interesting to read about his rivalries with Baggy, Djoko, Monfils etc.  He's been playing these guys competitively since he was 12 or 13.

I hadn't realised Murray had stopped talking to the BBC. He must be taking a leaf out of Fergie's book. That must be why Petchey was dispatched to talk to him during the Artois. What will happen if he wins Wimbledon? Will he blank Sue Barker?

He is absolutely scathing about British tennis and the LTA - re the LTA hiring Gilbert and Annacone, he says "Would Sir Alex Ferguson work with Plymouth Argyll?" I thought Bogdanovitch would be quite pleased with that comparison.

During the Artois Sue Barker was asking Andy Castle and John Lloyd if they had read the book. She was trying to stir things up a bit by relaying Andy's comments about the LTA. Lloyd and Castle looked very uncomfortable and defensive.

She did the same thing to Roger Draper when he was on. He dealt with it pretty well actually. Can't remember what he said but I do remember thinking he'd make a great politician with answers like that!
