I would have thought that depends on the nature of the problem the knee has. Either way, Andy openly admits that he finds the transition between any surface and another difficult, because of his knee problem.

Andy says a lot of things, really. He's just not that comfortable on clay. Those are, undoubtedly, who grew up on it.

So what? If it had come naturally to him, he wouldn't have even needed to be trained. Naturally means you don’t even have to try or be trained on it. It is natural to you.

No, he isn't in the top 10 on clay. The idea that he might challenge for the French Open is laughable.

Not exactly true as he was only 3 years in Spain and for six months he couldn't play because of his Knee, so his time on Clay wasn't all that long.

There are exceptions too. Like Agassi or even Jim Courier were both farily good on clay. In fact, Agassi was expected to win on clay first. Anyway, typically North Americans excel on hard the most and then grass followed by clay. Europeans, Spanish armada in particular, tend to excel on clay the most followed by hard and then grass. Same with South American players - clay and then hard. Not so great on grass.

If all players applied that logic there would only be 4 players competing in the Grand Slams.

Exactly this is Sport, every player who is in tournament has a chance of winning it. It's just some have more chance than others.  thumb up

I think Andy is between 15-20 on clay, but its early days yet. he could still have a great clay court season. Alot will depend on how draws open up for him. But only top 10 player now I'd say Andy could beat on clay atm is Tipaservic and thats cos he's head is somewhere else right now.
