I have just watched the match with Andy. Andy did seem to have the measure of JJ but seemed to disappear and leave the court. Andy did give him a hard time, so many deuce games etc. The whole thing of all the top seed losing so early one definitely seems to be very odd. Andy seemed quite unphased by the loss in his interview. I was surprised how easily JJ became angry as I was under the impression he was totally calm and collected. I see that he has been asked about the doctor and trainer and has failed to answer the questioons. It will be interesting to see if it happens today. I do not remember a doctor and trainer waiting in the wings at the beginning of a match for anyone else.
I see in the article by Boris Becker that we should not pay much attention to the Paris tournament as the top players , who will be tired at the end of the season, will be more interested in the WTF.

The finalists in Paris are not getting much time to recover. The Polish guy is a revelation so it should be a good match. I am hoping for Ferrer to win. He deserves it.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

me too lb. Apart from anything else a win will mean much to Ferrer. For jj just to have got to the final is a fairy tale. He can make do with that. Just hope he puts up a good fight so a decent match and he can fight off the physical and mental exhaustion he showed after the match yesterday.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Come on David - do the opposite of andy, swing that trophy round and then skip over to London.

Well done David Ferrer, He has finally won a Masters title. I'm so glad that JJ did not!
Jerzy Janowicz turned pro in 2007, just two years after Andy. What was he doing!!..... and all of a sudden he turns up in Paris 2012 and gets all the way to the final??
Maybe the only top player to 'realy' try against him was Ferrer, and thats because it was his best ever chance of winning a Masters.

I think Ferrer's win says it all. JJ couldn't manage a win against one of the big guys who played with the intention of actually winning. Mr M wanted out of the tournament. I am glad for Ferrer, even though he will be aware that he got his first Master's by the other players default. I watched the Tsonga match and he was the same as Mr M, wanting out of the tournament. Ferrer's ranking seems to be due in part to the fact he simply plays many more tournaments.

So pleased for David. At long last. Must be catching Rafa and as there are rumours going round Rafa won't play AO, well who knows? @ Masaka Well, I think JJ just ran right out of steam. He looked shredded in the second set. Kept fighting for most of it though @dex I saw that too and was mighty puzzled. It's taken an age for him to haul himself up. However, at the beginning of the year he took on new coach, new racquet and new fitness regime and it seems to be paying off. Will be very interesting to see how he does from now on.

Great! I am delighted for Ferrer as he deserved it and also it seemed to be the only chance he will have.
