On one hand the jungle drums are saying that Djoko will only be out for 10 days, on the other they are saying that he may well miss RG and Wimbledon. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
Pundits always go with who is hot at the moment. To listen to them yesterday you would believe that Stan is on route to win the calendar Grand Slam and finish the year as the world number 1. Of course, he may well do that but I don't see it personally. At the moment Andy is well below the radar - that's probably not a bad place for him to be - but I'm pretty sure the other players aren't writing him off and neither should we.
I agree with all that Alis, and Andy quite enjoys being the underdog because it makes him feel more relaxed, and if he feels relaxed he should be able to play some of his best tennis.
He's pretty close to the folk directly above him. Plenty time. I fully intend to be cheering him on in the semis!
He's also pretty close to the two players below him, but I'm certainly not fretting about his ATP ranking or his ranking in the Race to London. There's a long way to go yet before any player even reaches the qualification cut-off point for the O2.
